The game which takes place in the post-apocalyptic United States that is overrun by robotic Machines is one of the most lucrative video game titles in the past decade.
In February 2022, Horizon Zero Dawn surpassed selling over 20 million copies across the Playstation 4 and PC since the release of the title. The title went on to win numerous awards including the 2017 Golden Joystick Awards 'Best PlayStation Game.' Surprisingly, the title did not win a 'Game of the Year' award while being up for nomination.
Along with Horizon Zero Dawn, Netflix has a list of video game adaptations including Resident Evil, The Cuphead Show, a future Bioshock film, Castlevania, and others. The series could bring a new audience to the Horizon franchise, setting it on the path to becoming one of the most popular gaming franchises in the modern concise.
