How did they become separated?
Ted Nobbs (83) and his brother Geoff (79) have spent 77 years and over 10,000 miles apart after their family was divided at the end of the Second World War.
Ted lived with siblings Barry and John after their mother died of cancer at the age of 30 in 1945. Their father, who didn't feel he could care for baby Geoff, gave him up for adoption, hoping he would have a better life than what he could provide.
Geoff moved to Australia in 1951 at the age of 7 with his adoptive family and has lived there ever since. Geoff went on to have eight kids and grandchildren of his own.
Ted, Barry, and John attempted to find Geoff several times over the years but didn't have any success until 2014 when Geoff tracked down Barry and sent him a letter (John had passed away at this point).
They began speaking over Skype and the phone, getting to know each other after so many decades apart. The family reunited on September 4th when Ted traveled to Australia.
